The Phoenix IDA provides access to capital and strives to positively impact vulnerable populations and underserved communities.

The Phoenix IDA is an entrepreneurial nonprofit that draws upon its decades of experience and proven record of accomplishments to support community and economic development through access to capital. The organization’s primary goal is to positively impact vulnerable populations and underserved communities through multiple strategies such as bond financing, investments, and down payment assistance to advance homeownership.

Advancing Homeownership

The Phoenix IDA advances responsible low- to moderate-income homeownership through various programs to strengthen communities and the economy.

Beyond the economic impact, homeownership has numerous social benefits for individuals and families, which in turn benefits the entire community. Those benefits include increased educational attainment, civic involvement, health outcomes and public safety.

Community Lending and Investment

Along with community lenders and collaborators, the Phoenix IDA uses various tools to invest in the community – from impact loans to competitive community grants to innovative programs. The Phoenix IDA is governed by a nine-member Board of Directors. The Board holds public meetings regularly and pursuant to A.R.S. §38-431.02, all notices of the meetings of the Board of Directors and any of its committees will be posted on the Phoenix IDA’s website and with the Phoenix City Clerk’s Office.  Such notices will include information about the location of the meeting and the matters to be discussed.

The Phoenix IDA is governed by a nine-member board of directors. Each member serves a six-year term and is appointed by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Phoenix.
